THE CHANGING FACE OF CONSTRUCTION
The need for greater productivity, efficiency and sustainability is driving change in the construction industry which includes a dramatic uplift in the use of digital technology.
Market analyst McKinsey believes this technology has the potential to bring productivity gains for construction of up to 15%; the World Economic Forum predicts it could produce cost savings of up to $1.2 trillion.
Digital technology is no longer a ‘nice to have’ but has become a ‘must have’ for construction businesses looking to operate effectively in 2022 and beyond.

CASE STUDIES
A recent survey carried out by Construction Technology asked what topics are most of interest to those in the industry – the most popular answers were case studies, project details, and machine control.
The upcoming Construction Technology Summit will address all of these, with contractors talking about how they have adopted technology, technology firms providing specific details about projects, and a look at how machine control is being utilised.
The survey also revealed that more than 70% of those involved in construction technology are planning to invest more in the sector in 2022 compared to 2021 – a clear indication of how the sector is growing.
